MY VIEW WITHOUT FAVOURITISM NOR POLITICAL AFFILIATTION.

What I seriously don’t understand about Malawians is the fact that they are not implicating the opposition in this so called mess. I mean definitely, or many fellow Malawians must be short sighted should I conclude. I feel like I am the only normal visioned person on this subject. I mean people; if you sincerely believe there is a problem in Malawi, then the opposition is at fault too together with govt. Do you, fellow Malawians, frankly deem the opposition innocent on this matter? They are talking too much as if they absolutely have nothing to do with it. Can you not see that? I know what most of you will say. You will say the parliament is govt dominated and that the president doesn’t listen to anyone. I mean the president doesn’t listen to whom? You think no Malawian or African leader has the zeal, the prowess, the confidence and the brains to do something different from what some of these international entities say and do and yet, achieve positive results? Do you think no Malawian or African leader can break the trend by introducing something totally different as opposed to these individuals or entities some of us are supporting due to the problems we are facing on the ground? Therefore are they worthy our benefit of a doubt and not our own leaders or some of our own local strategists? I mean, yes, we need to be at par with the international community as a whole no doubt that at all. When these same entities and individuals can make similar decisions and affect our people massively and despite these effects, we would still be at ease, adapt and be hopeful on the basis and reasoning that because it is form them, then it is highly intelligent, has integrity and is constructive? I mean its fine to think that way, considering the corruptions and etc but, I mean, for how long are we going to stay like this and to what extent? I mean, yes we are in problems but should we tolerate those effects caused as a result of decisions from these entities, other than those of our own family member who is also but trying to be constructive in spite of the issues we are facing? I mean, yes, many people can be wrong and one person can be right. It’s possible and it’s happened a million times before for instance, in the last world economic crisis. He needs our support to prove himself. That is why we have someone as a leader. He cannot and doesn’t have to say yes to everything everyone says. IT IS OKAY TO SAY NO TO GOOD IDEAS too depending in other parameters. There is nothing wrong with that especially if they do not fit in his plans on the ground. If they are in line with his plans, the current space Malawi is in and the future, then he definitely has to create room and accommodate them. That is why leadership is a torch that is passed on and someone else will implement what the previous couldn’t. We have faced issues only less than one year and the past 6 years he has done better things, or at least. Economy can flip in one day, yes, and the whole world can bow down to its knees wondering what and how it all happened. I personally haven’t seen any good job done by the opposition in parliament, or in public at all. They have opposed really well, well done, but have they proposed anything constructive and relevant? If so, what is it and how does it fit in the current Malawian economic and social atmosphere? Is it a forward or is it a backward thinking as far as Malawi’s state of affairs is concerned? I haven’t seen any step by step solutions presented by them to the citizens or in any piece of tabloid. All I have read is about them saying; the president has failed and should resign. Is that a solution to you? I have read about them say, we have solutions. But have they told us what the solutions are and how they plan to achieve them? It’s an absolute no. I have read them say, boma 2014, is that a solution? Besides, the current problems facing Malawi is because of the lack of foresight in the previous regimes. Their planning was so poor because it did not prepare/accommodate Malawi to adapt to a fast political, economical and social future change, challenge and need. And you can witness that today that we are in a different era where Malawi is challenged in so many ways e.g. A slump in the tobacco needs in the west due to tough laws on smoking and etc, than 5 years ago and the world food shortage problem including the petrol issue as well which is also worldwide. The opposition want to be adored and praised before they expose their solutions to the public and before govt can consider them, is that a solution? They are basically playing politics instead of being productive. Definitely all they know is politics. Is that a solution? What kind of opposition watches a country suffer and still hide their plans and solutions to the public? Is it the fear of govt to get credit from their ideas or, and, is it the fear that govt is likely to win again in the next elections if these issues were rectified with their assistance? Yes, is it that feeling and ask yourselves about that kind of feeling because we all have it. I mean if they were smart, they would have utilised this chance to win people, legitimately. Therefore, what kind of opposition and thinking is that really? What kind of opposition that doesn’t instil courage, self confidence and self reliability/ability in its people by telling them, yes, we can do it on our own? What’s done with donors is done. Tell people that we can do it on our own without the $19 million budgetary support Britain gives us of the whole $2 Billion dollar national budget if we reform our policies and work together. Yes, Malawi is a poor nation and a small change can affect us overwhelmingly but please, let those who sincerely know the situation be open about it to citizens. There is no honesty, no integrity and no trust in our opposition including some selected govt individuals as well. And yet we vote for them nevertheless, when we can see their attitude while they are in opposition. I mean if their attitude is as bad while in opposition, what will their attitude be when we ascend them to power? Ask yourselves because we are thinking of voting for them aren’t we and we have done the same before? Have we seen any change? Are we mad? David Cameron was touring Africa 2 days ago and he said Africa doesn’t need AID, it needs TRADE. Is Malawi wrong to move forward and seek trade and not aid? I mean Charlie Sheen got $20 million dollars per episode in the 2 and Half Men TV show and you mean Malawi as a country, with new reforms, can absolutely not generate and source $19 million, by itself? You must be joking me NGOs and opposition. What kind of opposition cannot tell people that, we are in a crisis because our tourism industry is poor to bring in enough forex and that tobacco isn’t a sought after commodity anymore as it has previously been, hence the current issues. Iceland is already considering banning cigarettes and they will only be available on prescription. I mean is it that hard to swallow your pride and tell the country to be calm and work with govt to find alternatives? Come on. Do you really have feasible solutions or is it the same old talk just to attract a blind following? Yet are trying to hide behind the public in the protest demos? That’s so hypocritical of you seriously. These are plain, blunt lies in the eyes of Malawians. You are lucky not many Malawians can see this whole issue the way I and others I personally know, do. I wished I could find a way to tell the whole nation that opposition is to blame full fold. They do not help at all and do not want to despite them accusing govt of ignoring them, arrogance and not listening to them. I mean really? Is that an excuse really for someone who wants to lead a nation? They would rather watch people's quality of life plummet, in the cause for govt to lose popularity and be at fault so that they can jump in bit STILL WITHOUT SOLUTIONS. The problems facing Malawi now can be the same to any current govt regardless of it being MCP, UDF, DPP, PP and what have you. This is so because errors were made prior to this govt by some of these loud mouth individuals in govt and opposition now, although those in opposition are currently joining the demos, masking their conscience, failures and incompetency in innocence and disguise. What a bunch of hypocrites that some will still vote for. This hypocrisy will hurt us at all when they are in power. Let us give our current leader the chance to prove and redeem his self. After all, he is just facing bad publicity, due to some of his colleague’s inability to communicate diligently, opposition’s mouth running with empty content and solutions. If he doesn’t produce results, then we are voting him and his team out come 2014. But there should someone better, I mean better by then because there is none now. Have an independent thought on things and don’t just fall in the band wagon of other people’s thoughts and comments. It is absolutely possible that millions can be wrong, yes, and you can be the only one right. Trust yourself because IT IS 100% POSSIBLE and there is nothing wrong with you being different from everyone else.
